The Brown-Burt Logging Company was incorporated to improve streams, drive logs, and deal in and manufacture lumber. The first officers were: Earl Brown, president; Wallace A. Burt, vice president and general manager; and Homer A. Kidder, secretary and treasurer. All of the men were from Minneapolis. It was a Weyerhaeuser affiliate.
